Rennes-le-Château
A hamlet in the South of France at the foot of the Pyrenees...
One smells the Past and Mystery is in the air...
by Martha Neyman
ABOUT KNIGHTS TEMPLAR, A HORSE OF GOD AND THE STONE CIRCLES OF
THE "GREAT CROMLECK OF RENNES-LES-BAINS"
THE HIDDEN TREASURE OF THE TEMPLE
As rumour has it, a treasure of the Temple can be found under the
church of "St. Magadalene" in Rennes-le-Château.
BUT DOES A TREASURE REALLY EXIST?
And if the answer is yes: What is its nature: Is it a worldly
(i.e. gold and silver) or a Spiritual treasure (i.e. "knowledge")!
Rennes-le-Château, though a small village on a hilltop, lost in the
foothills of the mighty Pyrenees, yet is now known all over the
world, because of the rumour that around 1886, an immense treasure
was found by its village priest Bérenger Saunière. Now a days the
village has but few inhabitants, still it possessed a much greater
population in the days of the religious and Cathar wars and was then
quite an important stronghold.
SO, IS THERE ANY TRUTH IN THIS TREASURE STORY OR IS IT A HOAX?
Throughout the years numerous authors sought to find the answer.
Many books were written, but after reading, the reader knew as much
as at the beginning: no new clues, no real solutions only just
another story, often written, sitting behind a desk. Our curiosity
was aroused and we wanted to learn more, so we started our own
investigation. To discover the truth we not only put on our hiking
boots and searched the fields around Rennes-le-Château for hidden
indications, but sitting behind our desk we did a lot of reading in
history books as well.
And, our answer, after many years of profound research is:
"YES"; Rennes-le Château is very special and plays a great role in
recovering a very precious treasure! It once belonged to
the Templars and it is found in Jerusalem during the "First
Crusades".
Following the footprints left by those of the past...
We started with only few indications: the persistent rumours about a
too wealthy priest: Bérenger Saunière and his enigmatic friend and
fellow priest Henri Boudet. While Saunière was a flamboyant
personality, Boudet tried to remain in the shadows as much as
possible... Yet, he wrote a strange, and at first sight, unreadable
book: "La Vraie Langue Celtique et Le Cromleck de Rennes-les-Bains".
It was published in 1886 but it was realised only much later, that
this work plays an important role in the riddle of Rennes-le-Château.
Another clue we had was:
The (de)coded text of two parchments found by Abbé Saunière in the
church "La Madeleine". Now a days, it is often said that these
parchments were a falsification, but we consider them as genuine!
For those who do not know this decoded famous phrase, we give it in
French, followed by its translation.
BERGERE PAS DE TENTATION QUE POUSSIN TENIERS GARDENT LA CLEF
PAX DCL XXX I PAR LA CROIX ET CE CHEVAL DE DIEU J'ACHEVE CE DAEMONDE
GARDIEN A MIDI POMMES BLUES.
Shepherdess no temptation that Poussin and Teniers guard the
key PAX DCLXXX I by the cross and this Horse of God I complete this
world guardian at noon (or in the South) blue apples.
N.B. We translate the words "CE DAEMON DE" not as THIS DEMON
(as
is commonly done) but as "CE DAEMONDE", THIS WORLD.
In our opinion this phrase should be read as:
Shepherdess no temptation... Poussin and Teniers guard the key: PAX
DCL XXX I
By the Horse of God and the Cross… I complete this world… Guardian
in the South
(of France) or at noon; Blue Apples.
So this decoded text mentions a "KEY" given by
TWO painters:
Nicolas Poussin and David Teniers...
And indeed, the first key is hidden in the painting "The
Arcadian Shepherds",
by the famous 17-th century French master
Nicolas Poussin.
(Also known as: "Et in Arcadia Ego...".)

"Shepherdess no temptation".
Apart from indications leading to a secret Hypaethral
Temple-Construction, we found in this painting our trump card: "The
Horse of God" (“le Cheval de Dieu”, mentioned in the Bergère phrase)
The second "KEY" is furnished by the equally famous 17-th
century artist David Teniers, in a painting of the torments of St.
Anthony: "Pas de Tentation". Only two keys to open the gates to a
mystery, yet they hold much information to work with.
In our opinion it was important to follow the "instructions" to the
point and NOT to interpret...! So we did and to show a few…
BLUE APPEALS (POMMES BLEUES)…
What was meant by "Blue Appeals"...?
Do not forget we deal with a "French" mystery and thus have to
search the answers in "French" language.! In earlier days, planet
spheres were called "les Pommes"
(the Apples)… Thus we got the
information to use planet spheres.

The "Horse of God", the "Knight".
BY THE HORSE OF GOD...
Right from the start the meaning (in 1980 already) the "Horse of
God" intrigued us.
We were so lucky to found this "Horse of God",
during a hike in the region of Rennes-le-Château..! It is a weird
rock formation on the steep slope of a stony hill. From the moment
we saw it, it was and still is to us: "THE" Horse of God, as
mentioned in the decoded
text of one of the parchments. And as we
gradually found out, this "Horse of GOD was "THE KEY" in the
solution of the mystery of Rennes-le-Château.
Yet finding this "Horse" only answered one of many questions,
raised by the decoded text...
Does a treasure really exist?
Where and how to find this treasure ?
What can we expect to find?
Are the Knights Templars involved ?
After a profound research, we think we found the answers..!
We conclude, that: YES, A treasure is hidden...
YES, Templars are involved. They hid what they held "most
precious..."
This place is indicated by the clues: in the Poussin and Teniers
paintings, the decorations in the church of Rennes-le-Château, the
decoded texts of the parchments, the book written by Henri Boudet
and last but not least in "following the steps made of the Horse of
God" in the field and above all his secret meaning: The Horse,
bearer of "Light"..!
But one first has to understand the "key" to the solution and this
key is "symbolic language"..!
The "Shepherds" image, hides:
1) A "Map" of the region of Rennes-le-Château .
2) A Hypaethral Temple construction AND…
3) A "Masonic Tableau Compagnonnage" (sacred key number "5").
Abbé Henri Boudet, fellow priest of Bérenger Saunière…
We made a long and profound study of the strange Boudet book (in
the original French language) and, so we think, at length broke his
code. According to his words, the treasure once belonged to the
Knights Templar and include: The TRUE Menorah, the ARC OF THE
COVENANT with the Ten Commandments (all symbols in Freemasonry)…
These treasures, so says Boudet, are hidden in the great Hypaethral
Temple, carefully constructed by the Templars, before their downfall
concocted by the French King: Philippe le Bel and the leader of the
Holy Catholic Church: Pope Clement V.
This great virtual Temple includes Rennes-le-Château;
Rennes-les-Bains and Coustaussa.
THE HYPAETHRAL TEMPLE:
This Hypaethral Templar's Temple was built on a much older
Celtic sanctuary: the stone-circles of the "Great Cromleck of
Rennes-les-Bains", as described in his weird book by Curé Henri
Boudet, friend and mentor of Abbé Bérenger Saunière.
We think Henri Boudet as the master and initiated in the mystery, only after his
death Saunière took over. Thus Saunière was the last real "initiate"
and after Boudet's
demise the real guardian of the Temple Treasure.
The Hypaethral Temple Construction...
The remains of an ancient sanctuary were used by the Knights
Templars to built a virtual Temple.
They used the once Holy Stones of the Celts (i.e. stones as made
by the "Hand of God", rough and un-hewn and both carry important
symbolic meanings in Masonry),
as part of the foundation of their
Great Hypaethral Temple.
A new faith built on the stones of an ancient...
With stones, made by the hand of men we mean: Catholic churches
and strongholds built by the Knights of a "new Faith". Thus this
imaginary Temple was built on stone as made by the hand of God
(natural stone), and completed by adding 16 churches and 8 castles
(made by the hand of man). Like the ancient fortification at Rennes-le-Château;
the Templar's castle
at "Le Bézu" (Albezunum) and the stronghold the
"Blanchefort".
The Celtic places of worship; the "Holy Stones", can be found in
the surrounding of
Rennes-les-Bains at a distance of only 4
kilometres from Rennes-le-Château.
It was wonderful to find all these things and to be able to make the
invisible visible once again and to understand the doings and the
thoughts of our ancestors.
A Temple of a New Faith, built on Christianity...
A "Shadow-Church" (Eglise-bis of Avignon), those who are initiated
understand what I mean by this expression! We found this
Hypaethral Temple not only by following the allusions in Boudet's
book, but also in indications in Nicolas Poussin's painting:
"Et in
Arcadia Ego"!
THE TEMPLE TREASURE OF KING SOLOMON...
The entrance to this secret treasure vault can only be found again
by using the route of the "Horse of God".
PAX DCL XXX I PAR LA CROIX ET CE CHEVAL DE DIEU...
By the Horse of God and the Cross...
What is the hidden meaning of this text..?
Again the "Horse of God": "The "Knight"…
As said, the "Horse of God" is a strange rock formation, it is
shaped like the "Half Horse"
as used in the game of Chess. In French
it is the "Cavalier" the "KNIGHT".
The Knight... The Knights Templars... The Temple Knights...
LES CHEVALIERS - THE KNIGHTS.
A KNIGHT AND HIS HORSE...
The devil in a church..?
At the entrance of the church in Rennes-le-Château, many a
visitor wondered "WHY" a demon is crouching in the corner of a
consecrated church, while supporting a holy water font, this
ensemble crowned by four Angels making the "Sign of the Cross".
That is why all interested searchers, many a book writer or producer
of documentaries see a connection between the devil in the church
and the text of the secret document:
PAR LA CROIX ET CE CHEVAL DE DIEU J'ACHEVE CE DAEMON DE GARDIEN (BY THE CROSS AND THIS HORSE OF
GOD I COMPLETE
THIS DEMON...)
With this text is not at all referred to the demon in the church
of Rennes-le-Château, because this text is written down in or around
1781, just before the Revolution in France and the devil in the
church is ordered by Bérenger Saunière, after he became the parish
priest of this village in 1885.
BUT... there is a connection between the devil at the entrance of
his church and the
"Horse of God", so cleverly hidden by Saunière,
because...

The Devil hides the Horse.
This Devil hides his true face!
Seen from the right angle in the dim light, this ugly Devil is in
fact shaped like the "half horse of chess", so we are not only
tricked by the devil but also by Abbé Bérenger Saunière or better
still Curé Henri Boudet.
This devil hides "THE HORSE OF GOD", and... he was put in the proper
place!
The black-and-white floor tiles at the entrance of this church, were
once laid in the exact pattern of a "checkerboard" (8 by 8).
Unfortunately so often these tiles were removed and now a days it is
difficult to see the old layout, but it was still there when we
started our research and the "Knight-Horse" had his correct place in
this game...
This "Horse" of God is hidden too, though under a different shape,
in the bas-relief under the altar...
It is impossible to explain in a few words, "how" we solved the
secret of
Rennes-le-Château, because it is a long and rather
complicated story..!
As said; WE FOUND OUT THE KEY TO SOLVE IS THE LANGUAGE OF
SYMBOLISM…
Signs; Symbols and numerology…
To solve the Rennes-le-Château mystery, we used the secret
language of "signs", "symbols" and "numerology.
Finding this out and breaking the code was not so strange nor so
difficult as it might seem, when we see the first Templars at the
base of Freemasonry… What other language is used in Freemasonry then
"SYMBOLISM"..?
What also intrigued us was the fate of the Order of the Temple
Knights after the holocaust!
Our research led us to believe, that the reason for their
downfall lay much deeper than just in greed by King and Pope… The
reason for their downfall was the planning of a "New Kingdom", a
"New Temple" in the Languedoc.
This was the reason for the planning of the Temple-Plan (the "Hypaethral
Temple".
Poussin gave it in the hands of his "Shepherds" to hide… Boudet left
indications in his book…
A NEW KINGDOM: A NEW TEMPLE
CENTER OF THIS SPIRITUAL GRAIL PLACE: RENNES-LE-CHATEAU..!
Officially, the Order was destroyed, yet it rose like a
Phoenix from its ashes...
Although, the great might of the Temple was destroyed and the
danger parried for King and Pope, yet their secret ideas lived on.
The ex-Templars who reached Scotland, soon amalgamated with a
powerful group around the Scottish King; Robert the Bruce.
From here
would spring a new society: The "Scottish Freemasons".
Later this group, together with the Stuarts, would cross again into
France.
The TEMPLE ORDER continued in FREEMASONRY...
At the end of the road in search of the truth and in discovering
the long lost treasure, we not only find the priests Bérenger
Saunière and Henri Boudet but their Bishop Felix Billard as well as
many other priests, all initiated in secrecy as Freemasons (Martinists).
We found so many other important names in this list of the
initiated, like e.g.:
The painters Leonardo Da Vinci; Nicolas
Poussin and David Teniers; the family d'Hautpoul de Blanchefort ;
St. Vincent Depaul; Marquis Créqui de Blanchefort;
the writers
Maurice Le Blanc; Jules Verne and Jean Cocteau, Papus and Emma
Calve(t)...
What about the idea: The treasure is a bloodline?
In some books a bloodline, beginning with the Merovingian Kings
is the main point, but the genealogy papers on which these
conclusions are based seem to be a fake: set-up by a certain Pierre
de Plantard (+) and his friend Marquis de Cherisey (+).
The germ of this Merovingian bloodline is taken from a hidden text
in the second (short) parchment also found in the church of Rennes-le-Château.
This second decoded phrase reads as:
A DAGOBERT II ROY ET A SION EST CE TRESOR ET IL EST LA MORT.
Of Dagobert II King and of Sion is this treasure and it is (or
means) death.
We count (45 letters = 4 + 5 = 9, number of initiation).
In contrast to other authors, we read this sentence as: Of Dagobert...
II Kings... And of Sion is this treasure...
And it is death (or means death).
Most writers mix parts of the texts of the "two" parchments, but,
in our opinion this should not be done.
So in their explanation the name "Dagobert" found in the "short
document" is connected with a section of the "long document":
DCLXXXI.
The latter is seen as the indication of a year: the year 681. So
they argue, this date is linked with the murdered Merovingian king:
Dagobert II, killed near Stenay.
But this is not quite correct as King Dagobert was done to
death in 679.
DCLXXXI as a Latin number is 681indeed, but it is a code mobile
and part of "the key". It refers to the number of the "Golden
Section", very well known in Freemasonry and used by the builders of
the Temple…
DCLXXXI = 681 or 618 (1.6 1 8). Thus part of the key is the
number of the GS, to divide a line (of the PAX cross).
DAGOBERT AND THE TREASURE OF SION…
However it may be, we found out that another "Dagobert" existed,
but this Dagobert lived in the days of the first official Crusade,
around the time of the founding of the Order of the Temple.
This Dagobert was very much involved in the intrigues that
surrounded the founding of the Kingdom of Jerusalem and in a way the
owner of all wealth subsequently discovered.
We surmise, two Kings (II ROY) is a reference to Godefroi de
Bouillon, hero of the Crusades and the first (albeit un-crowned King
of Jerusalem) and to his brother Baudouin, the first crowned King of
Jerusalem.
Once the Kingdom of Jerusalem was promised to the Church and at the
same time a Kingdom was lost...
As said before it is impossible to describe in a few words the
solution of the Rennes-le-Château mystery… To solve the Rennes-le-Château
mystery, we wrote over the years three books : "The Horse of God";
"Through Darkness into the Light" (these two books are combined to
one edition) and The "True Language of Rennes-le-Château".
In these books the reader is not only informed about "how" the
mystery is solved but as well the whole history behind.
Beginning with the story of two too wealthy priest and Rennes-le-Château,
we returned in history to the first nine Templars, their downfall
because of their new plans to found a New Kingdom and a New Temple
(both Pope and King were not amused)… and at the end of our mystery
tour, we finished were we started, in Rennes-le-Château, the place
of a "Spiritual Treasure". Here the Knight (the Horse of God) guides
us to the correct place in the fields and shows us how to trace the
entrance to the secret vault were we can find the Temple treasure…
The answer to solve the mystery is "STONE" and "STONE
FORMATIONS"...
The "Laws" written in Stone...
Through Darkness into the Light… Shadow and Light… From Templar to
Freemason…
The Templars built a New Temple at the foothills of the
Pyrenees to hide their most precious treasure...
A NEW JERUSALEM ON A SACRED MOUNTAIN...
Why not digging myself..? This only can be understood after
reading…
Rennes-le-Château and its surrounding, without any doubt is a
mysterious place and can be seen in connection with a long lost
treasure...
